We are thrilled to announce the newest spray tan system to have entered the UK market, The Aura Allure.

The very kind people from Aura Sprayers gave us the first ever machine, hot off the production line to test and i’m pleased to say we were very impressed!

In the box – The unit was very well packed, inside was the Allure turbine, hose, gun/cup assembly, spare filter, spare cup seal, spare pick-up tube and instruction manual

First impressions – the unit is gorgeous, it has a modern black glossy finish which is accentuated by a metallic bronze band around its circumference. Smooth rounded corners give it a sleek contemporary look.

On top, the handle is descretly hidden so as not to spoil its svelte shape. a generous space in front of the handle (to allow for those finger nails!) enables the user to pull the handle out for carrying, very clever!.

On-board storage is facilitated by a purpose made cup holder behind the handle. the gun sits snugly in this when not in use

The on/off dial is simple but functional and ergonomically sculptured in keeping with the overall shape of the unit. The power cord is neatly wound around the specially designed base with an ingenious ‘grommet’ system holding the entire cord in place.

The gun is remarkably light and comfortable to hold. A simple flow adjuster behind the trigger allows the user to compensate for different solution viscosities. The cup has a sensible 200ml capacity. The hose is made from a flexible low-memory material, is a reasonable length and has a unique locking system to prevent ‘blowouts’

How does it perform – The first thing we noticed is that the machine is remarkably quiet given the reputation of HVLP systems. There is no rheostat or speed adjustment, just a simple on/off function but we didn’t mind this. After a some initial tweaks to the flow adjuster in order to achieve optimum atomisation we test drove the machine on our in house guinea pig. I’m pleased to report that the performance was outstanding. The spray fan was as good as anything i’ve tried before and the flexible hose allowed for smooth unencumbered operation. 5 stars

Conclusion – The Allure is a welcomed edition to the plethora of machines available on the market today. Its looks are outstanding and its performance is as good as it gets.
