Maintaining your Maximist equipment – and your reputation.

As tanning professionals ourselves we understand the performance and reliability of your tanning equipment is your reputation.

We have been speaking with Maximist this week and have come up with a very simple 3 step guide to ensuring the performance of your Maximist equipment;

Daily – Rinse
Tap-Water
After each day your gun is used rinse with luke warm water and spray through on a high setting to really blast the water through until it runs clear.
Dry and store ready for another days use!
Remove motor air filter and replace with spare provided. Rinse the used filter in warm water and leave to dry flat.

Weekly – Clean

Remove the cup and rinse the cup as usual. Add 60ml Maximist Gun Cleaner to your cup and spray on medium flow setting (into sink or onto a cloth). Once emptied fill your applicator cup with warm water and spray again until empty. If the water emerging still shows evidence of spray tan solution repeat. Turn off the system and disassemble the spray gun as in your manual (page 7-8).
Clean each part with water and a soft brush before drying and re-assembling (see assembly page 8).

Your motor should be wiped over with a soft damp cloth each week – no harsh chemical cleaners or polish needed.

Yearly – Service

Maximist and some distributers will provide a yearly maintenance and repair service. Get in touch with Maximist directly to find your nearest service centre where you can post/drop off your equipment for a full service, lubrication of parts and replacement of simple wear and tear parts (such as gland seal and seal cup membranes). – Usually priced around £30-£35 and your set for another year!
