Fragrance-free vs scented solutions — does it affect develop depth?

Do fragrance-free solutions develop any differently to scented ones, or is it purely about client comfort? I’ve got a few regulars with sensitive skin who ask for unscented, but I’m not sure if I’m sacrificing colour depth.

Who do you default to fragrance-free for, and has anyone noticed a real difference in the end tan?

Fragrance-free vs scented shouldn’t change DHA performance if the base formula is comparable — scent is usually about client comfort and residual smell in the tent. Depth comes from DHA %, developers, and aftercare more than perfume.

I default fragrance-free (or Pure-style lines) for eczema-prone, pregnant, or scent-sensitive clients, and anyone who hates that classic fake-tan smell. Plenty of pros keep both: a scented house favourite and a cleaner option.

Suntana and others do fragrance-light options that still develop well; just match the DHA to the skin type as you normally would.
