I’ve got a sticky little salon space and need better extraction. On a budget, would you buy a portable Aura-style unit first, or go straight toward something like BenchVent / a proper booth setup?

Space is tight and I need the biggest improvement per pound spent.

If space and cash are tight, a quality portable extractor (Aura-style or similar) usually gives the fastest improvement without a full booth refit. BenchVent and fixed booths are excellent when you’re ready to commit floor space and install properly.

Buy first what solves today’s overspray and smell for the way you actually work — mobiles often stick with portable; salon-only techs eventually prefer fixed. Check filters, spare costs and noise before you order.

Also fix process: tent or curtains, don’t spray toward soft furnishings, and clean filters on schedule — kit only works if maintained.
